Starting from a Sauna
Escaping the cliché of the ideas that start out of a garage, this one actually came from a sauna, bunch of gym-goers sitting around and discussing a popular youtuber who uploaded this video about testing some supplements available on the market and how close to 80% of them miserably failed to be close to what the claimed to be on the label. The discussion soon became a rant about how every Tom, Dick, and Harry owns a supplement brand but no-one actually bothers to change anything except the font on the label. I rather optimistically said “What if I started a supplement brand?”, and after a quick group chuckle about the irony of the whole situation I was met with a “What would you change mate?” and I just said “You tell me”

Having worked in international trade for the last year, the little businessman in me quickly started noting down whatever everyone was saying and the biggest theme that popped up was the lack of lab testing, and none of that basic heavy metal safety tests, there was a need for tests on doses and the active ingredient in the pill. While that was a solid place to start, the new big question was what product to start with? Which was answered by a quick peak at my own supplement stack which at the time was creatine, collagen, multivitamins, and the big winner, Ashwagandha. It was perfect because it is one of the least regulated ones, i.e. the most amount of ineffective products on the market. That was the easy part, the hard part was now to work up some numbers. From deciding which tests to get done, because every little extra one adds about 2 kidneys to the bill, talking to some experts I settled on Withanolide Content (The Active Ingredient), Heavy metals for safety, and an issue that was close to me, Microplastics. Having worked out some of the costs and spoken to a few suppliers, it was time to settle on packaging because I was adamant I didn't want it to be plastic. For that I jumped straight in the deep end and flew to India to talk to the manufacturers, and finally settled on the good ol' natural wood. It made sense to make the product truly plant based and make sure there's no microplastics seeping into the product as the jar gets older. I flew back with some samples and was stoked to get them tested and get the ball rolling

From the Drawing board to the Lab
I submitted all the samples for testing, and finally decided to go with the manufacturer that had the most consistent results. The packaging sample then went straight to quality testing (which is a fancy way of saying I left a couple jars in my gym bag, couple in the sun, put them in water etc. to see how much punishment can wooden jars really take). 6 months later I received the first batch ready to be tested again, and I was finally satisfied with the time these jars had spent next to my sweaty gym clothes it was time to get the distribution and sales setup ready as I eagerly waited for the test results. Now not to spoil anything but you can view these test results yourself, on our sales setup which is the website you’re currently on. Since the results have been good and everything so far had kinda worked out, it’s on you to help us on the next step –
